What is a public IP address?

It is the address your connection uses when it communicates with websites. A router or VPN can make several devices appear under one public IP.

Is IP geolocation exact?

No. It normally identifies a country or region and can sometimes show a city, but it is not a precise physical address.

Can a website see that I use a VPN?

It can detect signals associated with VPNs, proxies, Tor, or data-centre networks. Those signals are useful indicators, not absolute proof.

How does the speed test work?

The browser downloads test data and measures throughput, latency, jitter, and consistency. Results can change with Wi-Fi quality and network activity.

Does IPSeek store my password?

No. The password generator uses cryptographically secure random values locally in your browser. The generated password is not sent to or retained by IPSeek.
